AM116/47*1662* - Maserati Indy 4700 - 1972

UK-supplied 4.7-litre Indy ‘Garage Find’ with lots of potential…

  • Fabulous, Vignale-styled, 2+2 Maserati ‘Grand Tourer’ in need of rescue
  • Right-hand drive, 5-speed ZF manual box, 290bhp, 4.7-litre V8 with 37,000 miles indicated
  • Stalled restoration started in 2012. Does roll but has not run for a few years
  • We understand all the parts are there. Brand new bumpers (F/R) in cardboard boxes
  • Nautilus Blue coachwork with a medium blue leather interior which appears basically sound
  • Very little history apart from a few MOTs. HPI clear. Five previous owners we believe
  • Wouldn’t take much to turn it into a good usable classic or maybe take it to the next level

Hi, where is the car located and is it available for viewing? Thanks, Gordon

I see the car was not sold on the auction December 2019. I’m guessing your best chance to tracking down the car is to get in touch with the people at Classic Car Auctions ?(

Thanks for the information. I viewed this car at classic car auctions at Kenilworth, very crusty, bid to approx 30k by the auctioneer. Too far gone imho for the money. ( I was tempted by the tired Espada parked next to it which also didn’t sell).
