A matching-numbers example, this 4.9-litre Bora was ordered on 4th January 1973 and left the Maserati factory on 22nd May that same year. It was shipped to the Grossman Motor Car Corporation, a dealership in New York, USA, and first owned by Mr Elwyn F Boitz of Wayne, New Jersey. In 1984 the Maserati was sold to Randy’s Motors in Clifton, NJ and three years later was purchased by Locaban, a company based in Roullet, France. The Bora subsequently ended up in Belgium where it was restored in its original colours by Classic Car Service in 2016. The exterior colour is Rame (copper), which is quite rare, while the interior is trimmed in tan leather. The current vendor bought this Bora and added it to his private collection of Maseratis. Converted from US to European specification and described by the vendor as in very good condition throughout, this rare 4.9-litre Bora comes with a history file containing a Maserati Certificate (confirming matching numbers); copies of the factory build sheets; and a Belgian Carte Grise.
